Kala Channa


This is a semi gravy kala channa, goes well with chapathi or rice....

Ing
Channa 150gms (soaked overnight)
onions 1 chopped
tomatoes 1 chopped
green chillies 1 chopped
corriander leaves for garnish
bay leaves 1
ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
corriander, turmeric, chilli pd 1 tsp
garam masala pd 1 tsp
salt to taste
oil

Method:
Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in bay leaf and onions, and green chillies fry till the onion becomes slight brown, then add in the ginger garlic paste, saute for 2 minutes, then add in the tomatoes cook till they are well smashed, then add in all the spice powder and the salt, mix well ,cook for about 2 mins, then add in the channa and corriander leaves, add in water (depending on the consistency of the gravy). Pressure cook for about 4 whistle, switch off, and ready to serve...
